Straits Times E-Forum Reflection (Week 2)

Week 1

Article: “Sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex” – Home Section

Question 1 (you may choose to answer either or both questions):

· State any two reasons mentioned in the article which contributes to the sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex.

· What are some consequences which a girl might face for engaging in casual sex?

Answer : They may face problems like, she may be pregnant and the boy may not want the baby. Her family will also be very sad to hear that their daugther had sex when she was still uderage. If the school found out, they will expel her from school and she will not have a good future.

Question 2:

What are some of your reactions after reading this article? If one day, a close friend of yours confess to you that he/she has been engaging in sex, what would your advice to him/her be?

Answer : I was not surprise as other countries' girls they also need sex when they will young. I will tell her to check if she is pregnant. And if she is not, ask her nxt time when having sex, rmb to ask the male partner to use a condom or herself to use a cap.
